Handcrafted kitchen knife MASTERPIECE Satoshi. The blade is made of Damascus steel (damascene steel). The blade is made from layered steel composite forging. In this knife, there are 103 layers. This forging creates a unique pattern. Between these layers is inserted a VG10 steel core. The knife has a hardness of 60-62 HRC, which guarantees long-lasting sharpness and lifespan.

The shape of the handle ensures a comfortable and secure grip. The handle is made of black sandalwood.

Damascus steel is produced by repeated forging, layering, and re-forging several strips of steel with different properties, thus creating a characteristic pattern that can have dozens to hundreds of layers. Damascus steel is long-lasting sharp and resistant due to the grouping of materials with different properties.

The steel core is made from one of the highest-rated steels, VG-10. Highly abrasion-resistant stainless steel.

Steel V Gold 10 is generally known as VG-10 or sometimes V-Kin-10 (kin is an abbreviation for "gold" in Japanese). VG-10 is a unique formulation of steel with a high carbon content and contains chromium, vanadium, molybdenum, and cobalt. The steel is specially designed for the highest quality knives used both in the kitchen and in the field.
